Galant Gala:

Once a year, Galant Gala is organized together with ten other study associations. It is a formal dance that usually takes place in March and that attracts around 500 students every year. Galant Gala is organized according to a certain theme that is used for decorations, the band, and the act.

Master your future:

Every year SSPN, Stichting Studieverenigingen Psychologie Nederland, organizes an event for psychology students from all across the country. This year, “Master Your Future” will take place on April 25. Master Your Future will invite speakers from the different psychology studies in the Netherlands to speak about a unique Master-track at that specific university. The goal of the event is to broaden the perspective of students and to inform them about the wide range of possibilities within psychology education in the Netherlands.

VLC Party:

The VLC Party is an annual party that always takes place one week before the Christmas holidays. VIP organizes this party together with Lugus (Industrial engineering and management) and Clio (International Relations and International Organisations) and is therefore called the VLC Party. The theme of the VLC party always has something to do with Christmas. It attracts around 450 people and makes sure that everyone starts off their holiday season right.

Zwemfest:

Zwemfest is an annual music festival in VERA. It is organized in collaboration with GHD Ubbo Emmius (History), GLV Idun (Biology and Life Science and Technology), and Ibn Battuta (Spatial Sciences). It is an evening filled with music by multiple acts. The festival offers up-in-coming bands a stage to perform. Zwemfest has been hosted by bands like Orange Skyline, the Great Communicators and Marble's Heart in the past. The last editions were sold out and VERA was completely packed with students who love music, dancing and a nice beer.

Mind over Marketing:

Mind over Marketing is a conference about psychology and marketing. MARUG (the Marketing Association of the University of Groningen) and VIP collaborate on this. During the event, there are multiple speakers that give a talk on psychology and marketing combined. There are also some networking possibilities.

BSS Congress

BSS Congress is the Behavioural and Social Sciences Congress. It is a collaboration of VIP, Sociëtas, and ODIOM. During the event, there are several speakers who give a talk on a topic that is relevant to our faculty. Next to this, there are also workshops that you can attend and the possibility to network.

Night of Sustainability:

The Night of Sustainability is an event to encourage members to be more aware of sustainability. The associations Ibn Battuta, Clio, and Ubbo Emmius work together to organize this event. There is an introductory lecture and several workshops afterwards.
