Charity committee
Hey everyone! We’re super excited to introduce you to the brand-new Charity Committee! We’re a group of six totally different, quirky individuals, all coming together for one awesome mission: to make a positive impact while having a ton of fun along the way. This committee is the brilliant idea of Nymphe (big shoutout!), and we’ve got three exciting events lined up for this year. Since it’s our first year, we’re bringing fresh energy and tons of enthusiasm, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you. From heartwarming causes to hilarious moments, get ready for a ride filled with good vibes and good deeds. Let’s make this year one to remember!
And now, meet the dream team that’s making it all happen:
Hi there!! My name is Nymphe, And I am thrilled to be the Charries Chair. If there’s one thing my friends know me for, it’s being a crafty gal. My fellow committee members already know that, beyond our charity work, we’ve proudly established ourselves as the newly founded Republic of Arts & Crafts. If MTV Cribs ever makes a comeback, I’d be first in line to show off my studio in Selwerd—wood, paint, lino printing... you name it, I’ve got it! When I’m not being creative, I’m usually playing padel, going to raves, or doing homework (as long as you count youtube rabbit holes as homework).
Hey hey! I’m Bernau, your new committee secretary! I’m 22 years old and currently doing my master’s in Talent Development and Creativity. Last year, I was busy with my board year at de Ramenlappers, so I didn’t make it to many VIP activities... but now I’m back and ready to rock! Woohoo! I’m always up for a board game or a cozy movie night. I’ve got a soft spot for classic romcoms, but I also love a good crime thriller—keeps me on my toes! And when it comes to parties, you’ll definitely catch me busting some moves (upside-down twerk might make an appearance... no promises, but also, no regrets!). Oh, and some random fun facts: my favorite animal is the giraffe (they’re basically the supermodels of the animal kingdom), I absolutely despise pickles, and while I can’t chug a beer to save my life, I’m a beer pong champ. So, you win some, you lose some!
Hi everybody, my name is Dennis. This year, I will be responsible for managing our finances. Fortunately, I already gained some experience during my previous year on the board of the Association for Applied Psychology at Hanze. I’m a social and easygoing person—just don’t call me ‘bro,’ and we’ll get along great! In my free time, I enjoy playing padel and badminton, and you can regularly find me at the gym. Of course, I also love hanging out with my friends, where we sometimes jokingly talk about taking over the world and ponder whether ‘communism’ was really such a bad idea. Oh, and one more thing—if you ever hear me refer to myself as 'Smeagol,' it's probably time for a break from finances!
Hi! My name is Hanna and I will be responsible for external affairs for the charity committee this year :) I am in my first year of psychology and I enjoy traveling, playing the piano and baking brownies! I’m always down to have a nap, cup of tea or a fun craft night! I am very excited to see what we do this year and can’t wait to see you at one of our groundbreaking events!
Hey everyone! I’m Emily, and I’m really excited to be working on acquisition and promotion this year alongside Finja. Since I’m stepping into a more active role with VIP, I thought I’d share a few fun things about myself! First off, I’m a huge animal lover—whether it’s a dog or a fluffy cow, I’m all for it (though I’ll pass on anything with more than four legs or that stings, thanks!). I have a cat named Milo that I love dearly, but he definitely has his own opinions and tends to hate humans—definitely a character! If you’re ever looking for me, chances are I’ll be tucked away somewhere with a book—whether it’s in a café, on an airplane, or just cozy at home. When I’m not reading, you’ll probably find me indulging in some of my favorite grandma-esque hobbies like embroidery, baking, or cooking. And let’s not forget my love for snacking—especially on strawberries or chocolate. Seriously, those are my ultimate joy in life! Looking forward to an amazing year ahead with all of you!
Heyyy everyone! I‘m Finja, 21 years old and currently in my 2nd year of the bachelor program. It’s my first year doing a committee within VIP, and I fell in love already! I would say I stick to my lovely committee members like glue. Emily and I form the so called power-duo, handling promotion and acquisition. If you don’t find me doing cha-cha-charity, you might find me hanging out with my better half (my best friend), doing yoga or pilates, or in the club, but preferably at a rave (balance is key!). I do enjoy partying a lot, but on the next day it’s safe to say that you can find me at Noorderplantsoen where I reconnect with nature OR eating hotdogs at IKEA as a hangover cure. I also enjoy reading and doing artsy stuff, but I find it very hard to commit, so I have a bit of an on-off relationship with those kinda hobbies. It might sound strange, but this leads me to believe in the conspiracy theory that I am a Sim (like in the game “The Sims”) and whoever is playing me is making me change my hobbies, interests (and moods) in a rather uneven rhythm. But nevertheless, I can’t complain - at least I am never bored. And what I know for sure is that my Sim won’t get tired of VIP! I am looking forward to a great year with you all. <3
